Vinci STEAM Educations Policies Agreements for Parents & Students Safety

Please make sure your students understand that coming to Vinci STEAM Educations LLC. is a fun privilege. Our goal is for every student to come in and leave happily. Your student’s safety is extremely important to us. To make sure everyone has a fun and safe time at the lab, we need to make sure everyone knows the rules. These include no running or leaving the classroom without the instructor’s permission (including bathroom breaks), following instructions on how to properly use materials, and always listening to the teacher. We have a strict zero tolerance policy on bullying. If we see bullying, fighting, or violent behavior including throwing and pushing items or people your child will be asked to leave. 

  1. Absolutely no smoking, drugs, or alcohol are permitted on the premises, whether indoors or outside. VINCI. Do not erase any existing marks, writing, or drawing on whiteboard, tools, parts, furniture, and any other properties of VINCI. unless permitted by teaching staff or administrative staff of VINCI. Any vandalism to VINCI’s property is strictly prohibited. 

  2. Do not use, move, or take any supplies, parts, tools, and/or personal belongings from the facility.

  3. Students, Parents, and/or any other Customers shall not enter the Employee only areas without permission. 

  4. No running, chasing, screaming, sports, or fighting is allowed in the facility.

  5. Students, Parents, and/or any other Customers shall leave the facility and building on time as stipulated by VINCI. 

  6. Students, Parents, and/or any other Customers, are responsible for their personal belongings. VINCI  is not responsible for any loss and damage to personal items. 

  7. Students, Parents, and/or any other Customers shall be responsible for any loss and/or damages caused by his/her violation of the Facility Usage Rules. 

STUDENTS RULES

  1. Students shall always follow the directions and instructions given by the teaching staff and administrative staff. 

  2. Students shall respect the teaching staff, administrative staff, parents, and other students at VINCI  at all times. Students shall be kind and help other students. 

  3. Students shall always obey and follow the Facilities Usage Rules. 

  4. On-time attendance is required for all Students.   A written note or verbal notification by student or parent/guardian of Student is required for any absence, early dismissal, or late arrival.   

 

Since the class or the projects will be difficult to teach or organize, and if the students are late for 30 minutes or longer than the scheduled class time, the students will not be able to receive the same attention as the other students, and often get frustrated. We highly encourage families who expect to be more than 30 minutes late to call and reschedule. 

 

There are no discounts offered for tardiness or leaving early. If your student is present for any portion of a class they are expected to pay the full price of the lesson, no matter what the cause is, unless the waiver of the fee is approved by VINCI.

  1.   No running, chasing, yelling, sports, and/or fighting is allowed in the Workshop/classroom.

 

  1. Students shall respect teaching staff, coach, administrative staff, parents, and other Student at VINCI  at all times.  Student shall be kind and helping with other Students and use VINCI’s property in an appropriate manner.

  2. Students shall ask for permission and under supervision to touch or use the sharp tools, power tools, hot water, and/or heavy objects.

  3. Students shall not reach objects in high places without any protection or supervision. 

  4. Students shall not move, touch, or use any tools, parts, devices, equipment, and/or space without permission.

  5. All Students are expected to keep any equipment owned by them in a safe condition and are responsible for the suitability and condition of that equipment. All Student using VINCI ’s equipment shall not use any equipment that appears damaged or unsafe, and to give such equipment to an instructor and staff of VINCI.

 

  1. Physical safety is the highest priority at the VINCI. All Students are expected to control their actions in the Workshop.

  2. Students and Parents are liable for payment of any inappropriate use of the properties by them that cause such damages or loss. 

  3. Students shall keep the classroom and any properties of the workshop clean and neat. No food or drink is allowed in the workshop. 

  4. If students drive, all vehicles must be parked in the parking lot designated by VINCI. Student(s) is liable for any fines, damages, or loss caused by overstay or violation of parking rules of such parking lot or space.VINCI is not responsible for any damage, loss, or fine caused by such a violation.

 

PARENTS REGULATION

  1. Parent(s) shall pick up student(s) on time after the class/activity unless permission is obtained from the administrative staff of VINCI. If a student cannot be picked up by a parent(s) on time, you may participate our extended care payment program as described below. Otherwise, the students might be left alone in the classroom. 

 

And parents shall take all the risks, responsibilities, and/or loss of student(s) staying alone. All terms and conditions of Liability and Responsibility Agreement signed between VINCI . And Students and/or Parents shall be applied to this period before the Parent picks up the students. 

 

Pickup Time (extended care payment program):

 

It is expected that parents or designated persons are prompt to pick up their students at the end of class. Unless emergency is involved, if a any is more than 15 minutes late to pick up their child(ren), they may be subject to an extended care fee of $30. For our parents who wish to compensate instructors for extended care under 15 minutes, there is a coffee fund at the front desk.

 

  1. Student(s), Parent(s), or Customer(s) shall not stay in the facility without staff members are presenting or without staff’s permission. If student(s) and parent(s) are allowed to stay without staff members presenting, parents must always present with the students in the facility, Parents shall take all the risks, responsibilities, and/or loss of staying in the facility without staff members.

  2. Any student(s) or visitor(s) under six (6) years old shall be accompanied by Parent(s) all the times in the facility. 

  3. All vehicles must be parked in the parking lot designated by VINCI . Parent(s) is liable for any fines, damages, or loss caused by overstay or violation of parking rules of such parking lot or space.VINCI  is not responsible for any damage, loss, or fine caused by such a violation. 

  4. Parents and/or Students shall notify and obtain approval fromVINCI  administrative staff prior to holding or having any non-class activities inside and/or outside the building or VINCI  facilities. 

  5. Parents shall educate and assist the students to understand and follow Facilities Usage Rules and Student Rules. 

  •  No food and drinks are allowed in the workshop unless VINCI  provides otherwise, E.g. breakroom.  Makeup Classes for rescheduling. 

Makeup Classes 

VEX: 1 roll¬over class allowed. Otherwise, missed information will have to be summarized the week students return. It is very important to come to each VEX class as it is fast¬paced with new information and building being added each week. 
 
Normal 60¬ or 90¬minute classes: No roll¬over classes available. Make sure you call in advance to avoid charges for missed visits. 
 
ALL other classes: Students are able to switch to another class in the same week if they are unable to make their normal scheduled time, as long as we are notified within 1 hour of the scheduled class. 
Rescheduling is allowed for like classes in the same week only. Rescheduling depends on our current class schedule and rosters. If a class is full we will not be able to add your child to that class. Because of this, rescheduling a class is not guaranteed.
 
•    A processing fee per student may be charged for any withdrawals of classes, actives, or events by the student and/or parent before the session start. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy in the service/product description.
•    I understand that my or my child(ren)’s participation in the program of VINCI   involves the risk of personal injury. 
•    On behalf of my child(ren), spouse/partner and myself, I hereby release and covenant to hold harmless VINCI  , its agents, contractors, tenants, volunteers, members, officers, directors, and employees of and from any and all actions, claims and damages for personal injuries, emotional distress, disabilities, or death that my child/children or any other family members have or may have sustained as a result of participation in this Program. 
•    I agree to take full financial responsibility for any damage or loss to the VINCI   facilities and equipment caused by me, my child(ren), or my family members in the result of the violation of Facilities Usage Rules, Students Rules, and Parents Regulations. 
•    I agree to take full responsibility to educate my child(ren) and my family members to obey and follow VINCI . rules, including but not limited to the Facilities Usage Rules, Students Rules, Parents Regulations, Liability and Responsibility Agreement, and Terms & Conditions. 
•    In case of accident, injury, or sickness, I agree and authorize VINCI   seek emergency medical treatment by medical facility or physician selected by VINCI  for my child(ren) at my own expense. 
•    In the event that I should observe any unsafe personal conduct or unsafe physical condition on the premises of VINCI , in the facility and the building, I agree to report the unsafe conduct or condition to an VINCI   staff as soon as safely possible. 
•    Email addresses provided by Students, Parents, and Customers will be used for communications only and will not be disclosed to any third party. 
•    I hereby consent to the participation in interviews, the use of quotes, and the taking of photographs, movies, or videotapes of the student. I also grant to the right to edit, use, and reuse said products for nonprofit purposes including use in print, on the internet, and all other forms of media. 
•    If the student, parent’s or other family member’s behavior, communications, or interactions in or outside VINCI  (including during VINCI   sponsored events) is disruptive, intimidating, or overly aggressive, or reflects a loss of confidence or serious disagreement with the VINCI’s policies (including but not limited Facility Usage Rule, Students Rule, Parents Regulation, and Liability and Responsibility Agreement, Terms & Conditions, etc.), methods of instruction, or discipline, or otherwise seriously interfere with VINCI  ’s safety procedures, responsibilities, or accomplishment of its educational purpose or program, the VINCI   reserves the right to dismiss the student, parents, or family members from VINCI   There will be no refund of fees where such enforced withdrawal occurs, and any unpaid balance is payable in full according to the terms and conditions herein. If, for any reason, it is in the best interest of the VINCI.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Vinci STEAM Educations. reserves the right to cancel classes, programs, activities, or events due to low enrollment or attendance levels. 

 

Vinci STEAM Educations. reserves the right to cancel the classes, programs, activities, or events due to the weather, state of emergency, or other safety reason. 

 

Cancel and refund details are described in the Cancellation Policy of each service/product. Cancellation Policies of different services/products are varied.

 

A processing fee per student may be charged for any withdrawals of classes, programs, actives, or events by the student and/or parent before the session start. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy in the service/product description.

 Cancellation Policy

If you cancel before your class begins, you will receive a full refund minus a $50 processing fee.  

If you cancel after your class begins, you will receive a 35% refund of the pro-rated amount.  

 

  • I have read and agree to follow THE FACILITY USAGE RULES, STUDENT RULES, PARENT REGULATIONS, COVID-19 DISINFECTION & PROTECTION PROTOCOLS, LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY AGREEMENTS, AND TERMS & CONDITIONS. (See Above)

 

Photo and Video Release 

By signing up for services you agree to the VINCI STEAM Educations LLC Photo and Video Release policy. You may request to see the full form in person and/or opt out at any time. The policy includes the right to take still photographs and motion pictures of students and families during VINCI STEAM related activities, and use them for marketing purposes without compensation, with protection from legal action.

Material use/breakages 

Any student who misuses any materials to the point of breakage provided that instructor gives correct instruction, and that inability for further use is expected to replace the monetary value of the item at the time of the occurrence. 

Behavior issues and expectations of students 

Instructors will notify managers and parents of student misbehavior. Students with repeated or extreme behavior issues may be asked to leave the class. If necessary or requested by parents to identify the matter, we will conduct investigation into the circumstances of this behavior. Our hope is that our students come in ready to have a fun and educational experience at our lab. If after several warnings the student in question is unable to cooperate with lab policy by making the learning environment unsafe or difficult for others, they may be asked to leave indefinitely. We ask for the parents’ help in making sure their student/s is/are ready for each class. 

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason within the expectations that everyone complies federal and state discriminatory laws. 

COVID-19 DISINFECTION & PROTECTION PROTOCOLS

  1. VINCI will follow the recommended CDC Cleaning and Disinfecting Guidelines.

  2. COVID-19 Disinfection & Protection Protocols came into force on April 1st, 2020, and it will be in effect until further notice. 

  3. All students, teachers, staff, and visitors (people) are required to wear face masks during all the time in the classroom/workshop/office (“workshop”). This helps protect people from the Delta variant and prevents spreading it to others.

  4. Prior to entering the workshop, all people is required to use hand sanitizer to clean up their hands every time they enter from outside to the workshop.

  5. All people should keep reasonable social distancing in the workshop. 

  6. All visitors will be temperature-screened if it’s necessary. Anyone showing signs of COVID-19 or who has a temperature of 100F (37.8 C) or higher, will not be permitted to enter for the safety of all members. 

  7. All equipment and surfaces will be routinely cleaned at regular intervals by our staff. We will use  75% ethyl alcohol and disinfecting wipes to clean the facilities, parts, tools, surfaces, computers, switches, knobs, and competition fields weekly. Hand washing is encouraged, and sanitizer pumps are ready for use at cleaning stations throughout the workshop.

  8. No food and drinks are allowed in the workshop unless VINCI provides otherwise, E.g. breakroom.

All visitors and students agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and, contact VINCI and its staff immediately if he/she experiences symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after participating with VINCI.

  • LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS:

I acknowledge that I derive personal satisfaction and a benefit by virtue of my participation with VINCI, and I willingly engage in VINCI classes, events, and/or other activities (the “Activity”).

  • RELEASE AND WAIVER. 

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF WHATEVER KIND OR NATURE AGAINST THE VINCI AND ITS AFFILIATED PARTNERS AND SPONSORS, INCLUDING IN EACH CASE, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”), EITHER IN LAW OR IN EQUITY, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES OR LOSSES CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE, FAULT OR CONDUCT OF ANY KIND ON THE PART OF  THE RELEASED PARTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DEATH, BODILY INJURY, ILLNESS, ECONOMIC LOSS OR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES, OR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, WHICH I, MY HEIRS, ASSIGNEES, NEXT OF KIN AND/OR LEGALLY APPOINTED OR DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES, MAY HAVE OR WHICH MAY HEREINAFTER ACCRUE ON MY BEHALF, WHICH ARISE OR MAY HEREAFTER ARISE FROM MY PARTICIPATION WITH THE ACTIVITY.

 

  1. ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK. I acknowledge and understand the following:

  1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist;

  2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, even if arising from the negligence or fault of the Released Parties; and

  3. I hereby knowingly assume the risk of injury, harm and loss associated with the Activity, including any injury, harm and loss caused by the negligence, fault or conduct of any kind on the part of the Released Parties.

  1. MEDICAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND RELEASE.  I acknowledge the health risks associated with the Activity, including but not limited to transient dizziness, lightheaded, fainting, nausea, muscle cramping, musculoskeletal injury, joint pains, sprains and strains, heart attack, stroke, or sudden death.  I agree that if I experience any of these or any other symptoms during the Activity, I will discontinue my participation immediately and seek appropriate medical attention.  I DO HEREBY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ANY CLAIM WHATSOEVER WHICH ARISES OR MAY HEREAFTER ARISE ON ACCOUNT OF ANY FIRST AID, TREATMENT, OR SERVICE RENDERED IN CONNECTION WITH MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITY. 

  2. As a student, participant, volunteer, or attendee, You recognize that your participation, involvement and/or attendance at any VINCI event or activity (“Activity”) is voluntary and may result in personal injury (including death) and/or property damage. By attending, observing or participating in the Activity, You acknowledge and assume all risks and dangers associated with your participation and/or attendance at the Activity, and You agree that: (a) the Vinci Robotics Academy and VINCI ROBOTICS LAB. (b) the property or site owner of the Activity, and (c) all past, present and future affiliates, successors, assigns, employees, volunteers, vendors, partners, directors, and officers, of such entities (subsections (a) through (c), collectively, the "Released Parties"), will not be responsible for any personal injury (including death), property damage, or other loss suffered as a result of your participation in, attendance at, and/or observation of the Activity, regardless if any such injuries or losses are caused by the negligence of any of the Released Parties (collectively, the "Released Claims").  BY ATTENDING AND/OR PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY, YOU ARE DEEMED TO HAVE GIVEN A FULL RELEASE OF LIABILITY TO THE RELEASED PARTIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Release of Liability and Indemnity

VINCI Robotics Lab assumes no responsibility for personal injury or loss or damage to any personal property. You hereby release, discharge, waive, and relinquish, on your behalf and that of your child(ren) any and all claims or actions that any of you may have against VINCI  Robotics Lab, any of its affiliates, licensees, successors or assigns, and all of their officers, directors, employees, agents, and contractors (the “Released and Indemnified Parties”) arising out of or otherwise relating in any way to this agreement, the programs, or the services or equipment provided by VINCI  Robotics Lab. You shall also defend, indemnify, and hold the Released and Indemnified Parties harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, damages, liabilities, losses, settlements, judgments, costs and expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees and costs) which may arise out of or otherwise relate in any way to this agreement, the programs, or the services or equipment provided by VINCI  Robotics Lab. It is the intent of this agreement that parents and participants relieve the operators from any and all liability, except they are caused by misconduct, negligence or omission ofVINCI  Robotics

 

LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY AGREEMENTS

 

  1. The student's parent/guardian acknowledge that this Liability and Responsibility Agreement will be used byVINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC.. for the activities in which I, my child(ren), and/or any members of my family, may participate and that it will govern me, my child(ren), and any members of my family’s actions and responsibilities at said activity. 

 

  1. The student's parent/guardian HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF ME, MY CHILD, AND/OR ANY MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES HELD BY VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC.including without limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault. 

 

  1. The student's parent/guardian does hereby waive, release, and discharge VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC., the teaching staff, and the administrative staff of VINCI STEAM EDUCATION LLC., of any and all liabilities and claims in case of accidents, sickness, personal injury, or any loss or damage of personal properties to me and/or any members of my family, anytime in the facility and the building, and any other activities sponsored, held, or participated by VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC. I agree to take full responsibility for the safety of myself and all members of my family while attending VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC.,at the facilities of VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC.. 

 

  1. The student's parent/guardian agrees to INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO DEMAND OR VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC.the teaching staff, and the administrative staff of VINCI  ROBOTICS LAB. for any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in such activity held by VINCI  ROBOTICS LAB., whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. 

 

  1. The student's parent/guardian agrees to take full responsibility for any damage or loss caused by the student, parent, or by any members of my family to the facilities used by VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC.during the use of facilities. 

 

  1. The student's parent/guardian agrees to take full responsibility for my child(ren) to follow and obeyVINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC.. rules and regulations during classes, activities, and use of facilities. 

 

  1. The student's parent/guardian agrees to provide voluntary services to VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC.coordinated by administration during VINCI  ROBOTICS LAB. classes,  activities, and events. 

 

Change to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, and at our sole discretion. We will provide prominent notice to users by posting an updated privacy policy on our support page. Please review this site to be informed of any material changes to the privacy policy. The "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page will be updated after changes occur to the privacy policy.

This Waiver and Release of Liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.  

 

We appreciate your cooperation in upholding the policies at VINCI STEAM EDUCATIONS LLC. for the benefit of all concerned. 

 

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS DOCUMENT INCLUDES A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
