R101 - Robotics for Little - Amazing Zoo

Students will create their own mimetic robotic zoo. During each class, students will create a robotic animal or build a portion of the zoo’s facilities. At the end of each class, the robotic constructions are digitally imaged and saved to be edited into a movie of their robotic zoo.

The curriculum helps students practice planning skills as they design and populate their zoos. Classroom discussions about nature, evolution, environment and robotics are tailored to the animals made that class. For example, “why do robots have wheels and animals do not? A horse could probably move a lot faster with wheels.”

None
