GOALS

  • Teamwork to design, build, and program the competition robot.

  • Compete in VEX Robotics Competitions (VRC) and VEX IQ Competition (VIQC) try to get the best result, such as qualifying to Regional Championship and VEX Robotics World Championship.

  • Hands-on STEAM learning, creativity, and teamwork.

  • Learn how to solve real-life problems through Engineering Design Process.

  • Expand students’ vision and learn how cutting-edge technologies can change the world.

AGES

  • VEX IQ - Elementary & Middle Schoolers (9 - 12 years old)

  • VEX V5 - Middle & High Schoolers (12 - 16 years old)

PRE-REQUISITES

  • All prospective students must finish the Vinci VEX V5/VEX IQ Basics and Advanced classes to qualify to join our competition teams.

  • If the student has a strong knowledge of robotics or previous equivalent robotics experience, the student may waive the Basic class by passing the assessment.

TEAM ARRANGEMENT & ACTIVITIES

  • Competition season commitment - September 2023 to May 2024.

  • First team meeting - first week of September (follow the weekend schedule).

  • VEX V5 team - 5 to 8 students per team.

  • VEX IQ team - 4 to 6 students per team.

  • Lecture - weekly 2-hour lecture classes during the workday to learn knowledge, 3D modeling, and programming.

  • Teamwork Workshops - 4-hours of teamwork hands-on time during the weekend to build and operate the robot.

  • Competition openings are limited, open enrollment is only available in September and October 2023.

  • IQ full competition season (9 - 12 years old, September 2023 to May 2024) 

    • Over 100 hours of lecture.

    • Over 200 hours of hands-on robot teamwork.

    • Over 120 hours team focused coaching and training.

    • Full category robot parts, tools, and competition equipment.

    • 2 - 4 students per team.

    • Extended workshop access hours

    • Competition Team registration fees.

    • Local competition events registration fees.

    • Virtual programming challenges and online challenges.

    • Vinci shirt and hoodie.

  • Refund policy - We ask for 30 days' advance notice to drop off from the team. There is a non-refundable registration fee, and we only refund for non-participant fees by monthly calculated.
