Program Description

🔥Early Bird Promotion $1999 → $1799, ends 3/15/2025! Course Details: • Name: Robotics IQ Advanced • Date: August 11, 2025 – August 22, 2025 • Time: Weekdays, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM • Location: Needham Classroom • Grades: G4 - G6 • Prerequisite: S45 This 10-day Robotics Advanced course is perfect for students aged 9 to 11 who are interested in learning more about robotics and robotics competition. Alone with the Robotics Basic program, students will continue learning how to build complex mechanical systems, such as lifting systems, intake systems, launching systems, etc. They will also learn how to code the robot to do more complicated tasks, such as robotics competition simulation. This summer program offers a fun and educational way for students to spend their summer, and is sure to inspire a passion for robotics. IN CLASSROOM SUMMER PROGRAM Max 12 students per class. Design, build, program, and have fun challenges. Bring your own water bottle and your own lunch. RECOMMENDED AGE 9 - 11 years old or grade 4 - 6 Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Understand Core Concepts: Explain the fundamental principles of robotics, including kinematics, dynamics, and control systems. 2. Design and Build Robots: Design, assemble, and program basic robots using common robotics platforms and tools. 3. Programming Skills: Develop and implement algorithms for robot control and behavior using programming languages such as Python and C++. 4. Sensor Integration: Integrate various sensors (e.g. cameras, ultrasonic sensors, gyroscopes) to enable robots to interact with their environment. 5. Autonomous Systems: Understand and apply concepts of autonomous navigation, including path planning, obstacle avoidance, and localization. 6. Team Collaboration: Work effectively in teams to complete robotics projects, fostering collaborative problem-solving skills. 7. Project Management: Plan and execute a robotics project from conception through to completion, managing time, resources, and documentation effectively. 8. Robotics Competition: Understand the general idea and format for the robotics competition, how to design and build the robot.
