Course Details: • Name: Robotics IQ Basics • Date: June 30, 2025 – July 11, 2025 • Time: Weekdays, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM • Location: Burlington Classroom • Grades: G4 - G6 • Prerequisite: None Introduce students to the fascinating world of robotics with our 10-day program Intro to Robotics and Robotics Competition for young ages. In this interactive summer program, Students will learn the basics of robotics and machine building through hands-on building activities and an introduction to coding. The program will allow students to explore and experiment with various simple mechanical systems and learn how they operate physically and by coding. Through our engaging and innovative curriculum, students will develop a deeper understanding of the principles behind robotics and gain practical skills in building and coding. Sign up now and give the opportunity to unleash their creativity and curiosity in the exciting field of robotics. 9 - 11 years old or grade 4 - 6 (Zero experience needed) Max 12 students per class. Bring your own water bottle and your own lunch. Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Understand Core Concepts: Explain the fundamental principles of robotics, including kinematics, dynamics, and control systems. 2. Design and Build Robots: Design, assemble, and program basic robots using common robotics platforms and tools. 3. Programming Skills: Develop and implement algorithms for robot control and behavior using programming languages such as Python and C++. 4. Sensor Integration: Integrate various sensors (e.g. bumper, ultrasonic sensors, gyroscopes) to enable robots to interact with their environment. 5. Autonomous Systems: Understand and apply concepts of autonomous navigation, including path planning, obstacle avoidance, and localization. 6. Team Collaboration: Work effectively in teams to complete robotics projects, fostering collaborative problem-solving skills. 7. Robotics Competition: Understand the general idea and format for the robotics competition, how to design and build the robot.
