R211 - Robotics for Young - VEX GO Challenge - City Technology Rebuild Dates: 9/15/24 - 1/12/25 Time: Sunday, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Location: Burlington Classroom # Grades: G2+ Equipment: VEX GO Prerequisite: None Related Class: R201, R202, R212, C200, A200 Course Description: The City Technology Rebuild Competition brings the fun and excitement of robotics competitions to the classroom. Students use their VEX GO robots to explore different aspects of relief actions that help rebuild communities after emergencies. Hospital Help: Drive your robot to bring medicine from the Dock to the Hospital. How can you collect medicine and move it efficiently in the City Technology Rebuild Competition? Raise the Roof: Deliver supplies from the Fire Station to the Emergency Shelter. How can your robot raise the roof of the shelter and transport supplies? Power Up: Lift fallen trees and downed power lines. How can your robot handle these obstacles in the competition? Landslide!: Trigger a landslide and clear the roadway. How can your robot move rocks effectively? City Technology Rebuild Competition: Combine all the skills learned in previous labs to form a winning game strategy. Work collaboratively with your team to score the most points in the competition! 🤖🌟 Throughout the course, students will explore: • Driving robots in a competitive environment. • Advanced modeling and design for complex geometries. • Kinematics, dynamics, and control strategies. • Robot vision and ethical considerations.
