R101/C101 - 123 Let's Be Friends - Thu-B
Program Description
R101/C101 - Robotics for Little - 123 Let's Be Friends Dates: 9/12/24 - 1/9/25 Time: Thursday 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM Location: Burlington Classroom # Grades: GK+ Prerequisite: None Related Classes: R102, C102 Course Description: In the 123 Let's Be Friends classes, students can learn various skills and concepts related to robotics, programming, and problem-solving through story-based activities and challenges. Here are some key areas of learning: Programming Basics: Students gain an understanding of fundamental programming concepts such as loops, conditionals, and variables. They learn how to create sequences of instructions to control the robot’s movements. Computational Thinking: 123 Let's Be Friends encourages students to think logically and break down problems into smaller steps. They learn to analyze problems, design solutions, and implement them using code. Hands-On Robotics: Through hands-on activities, students explore the physical aspects of robotics. They add parts to the robot, learn about sensors, and experiment with different roles. Math and Geometry: 123 Let's Be Friends provides opportunities to apply mathematical concepts. Students measure distances, calculate angles, and explore geometric shapes as they program the robot. Collaboration and Communication: Working in teams, students collaborate to solve challenges. They learn to communicate their ideas, listen to others, and iterate on solutions. Creativity and Innovation: 123 Let's Be Friends allows students to create their own robot characters, programs, and stories. They can invent new movements, sounds, and behaviors for the robot. Overall, 123 Let's Be Friends classes foster critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper understanding of technology. 🤖🌟 By the end of this course, students will • Basic robotics knowledge • Basic concept of sequence programming • Basic STEAM knowledge
