
Robotics & STEAM Teacher, Curriculum Developer
We are looking to hire on-site part-time teachers/curriculum developers for our robotics, programming, and STEM programs (after school and summer camp).
ABOUT THE JOB
Start immediately.
After school teaching (on-site preferred), working hours will depend on the class schedule.Â
Must be able to work at night time and on weekends.
To teach students who are between 6 to 16 years old.
Must be able to create curriculum content individually and improve the teaching content individually.

Learn and expand vision on cutting-edge STEAM topics, such as robotics, self-driving, AI, machine learning, prosthetics in neuroscience, soft robotics, and space robotics.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach robotics and STEAM classes (after-school programs and summer camp programs).
Create and improve curricula and teaching materials.
Get familiar with VEX Robotics platform and know-how to build, program, and troubleshoot the robots prior to the teaching starts.
Help students understand the complicated robotics and STEAM concepts
Help students with hands-on design and building.
Help students with programming in robotics, electronics, web development, and applications.
Co-host robotics competitions and in-classroom competitions.

REQUIREMENTS
Must love, understand, and respect children and teenagers.
Must have at least one year of teaching experience or touring experience.
Must be able to care, respect, and be able to manage students in the classroom well.
Must be patient, responsible, and committed with excellent communication skills.
Must be proactive to respond to questions, contribute new ideas, and be able to do research and solve problems by yourself.
Preferably has basic knowledge of educational robotic systems (VEX, LEGO, or FIRST) (Competition experience preferred)
Preferably has basic knowledge of computer programming (C++ and Python preferred)
Must have experience with using hardware tools and power tools
Must be 18 years old and above. College major in engineering major is preferred
