Congratulations to the Vinci Robotics Academy robotics competition teams that won the VEX Robotics Competition and VEX IQ competitions on December 11, 2021.
Teams 6900A and 6900J from Vinci Robotics Academy won the VEX IQ Pitching In competition at Hopkinton Middle School on December 11, 2021. An outstanding achievement for the participants, this was the first time the Vinci Robotics Academy members participated In the IQ Pitching In competition.
Twenty-four teams were competing at Hopkinton Middle School, 19 teams were middle school teams, and 5 teams were elementary school teams. All five elementary teams were all from Vinci Robotics Academy. They were 6900A, 6900B, 6900F, 6900J, and 6900P.
The Robotics Education & Competition Foundation presented the VEX IQ Challenge provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning.
VEX IQ Competition (VIQC) Pitching In Teamwork Challenge is played by an Alliance composed of two teams operating under driver control. There are two robots playing together for each match on the same field. Each match is only one minute time to play. VIQC Tournaments include Qualification Matches and Final Matches. The Qualification Match for a teamwork Match determines the event rankings. And the Final Matches determine the Teamwork Challenge champions.
Four Vinci Robotics Academy teams, 6900A, 6900B, 6900J, and 6900F, made it to the Final Matches. In the Final Matches, 6900A and 6900J successfully won the championship of this competition.
At the same time, there was also good news for the high school teams, as Vinci Robotics Academy's 871X Team made it to the final of 26 teams in the VEX Robotics Competition hosted by Hopkinton High School and won the championship.
